Dunham Farms

Where Relaxation Meets Refinement

Dunham Farms is a family-owned and operated B&B and event space located a short drive from Savannah, Georgia.

At the heart of Dunham Farms is an historic 30-acre estate with sweeping lawns, ancient moss-draped oak groves and expansive marsh views. Featuring quaint country lodging and gourmet dining, Dunham Farms appeals to those who enjoy a secluded break from the rest of the world. Overnight guests are nestled in the middle of 6,000 private acres of forests, marshes and fields. Event guests take part in festivities at Live Oak Hall and then step outside to stroll the peaceful shaded grounds at their leisure.

With over 250 years of tradition, hospitality and stewardship in their blood, mother-daughter team Laura and Meredith Devendorf invite 21st century guests to share their piece of heaven on the Georgia coast.

  • “What a peaceful place, with nature trails meandering through the woods and along the waterfront. And it’s all so private and quiet. Our bed was great with quality linens, and the bathroom had wonderful toiletries and heavy towels. Breakfast was amazing and included the owner’s family’s keepsake recipes. We loved our stay. It was the highlight of our trip to the South.”

  • “The property is just outstanding. The live oak trees are enormous and to sit out under them along the river at sunset was a memory I will never forget. I will cherish the time we spent there, the hospitality, the AMAZING breakfasts! I felt like we became a family, and we certainly didn’t want to leave. If I could give it a million stars, I would.”

  • “Laura and Meredith are hospitable, warm, funny and captivating. We took a kayak trip the day we arrived. I have never kayaked before and was a tad nervous, but Meredith made me very comfortable. The peace you feel as you paddle through the marsh grass is unlike anything I’ve ever experienced. We hiked the trails, enjoyed the refreshing pool and watched the sunrise every morning from the dock. It is idyllic.”

  • “The property is peaceful and the barn is so comfy – it was so easy to relax. The breakfasts were amazing! Close enough to Savannah for some day trips but even better for hanging out and exploring the grounds. The owners are delightful and gracious hosts, I really enjoyed learning about the area from them. I will return for sure!”

  • “My wife and I wanted to stay at a place that was quiet and close to nature. We were not disappointed. We enjoyed walking the property, admiring the nature of the tidal marshes and taking photographs. Our room was comfortable and decorated with antique furnishings reminding you of the history of the property. The breakfast was delicious and proprietors, Laura and Meredith, were delightful. I rarely write reviews, but our stay was so enjoyable, I had to share with others who may be considering a visit to the area.”

  • “When you turn onto the drive at Dunham Farms overhung by oak-trees dripping with Spanish Moss you feel you’re entering a different and beautiful world. The ‘Barn’, surrounded by lovely old trees, has bedrooms of a quality found in the best hotels. The view from our room of the tidal creek and the salt marshes was stunning. Meredith cooked us a great dinner and enthralled us with accounts of the history of the area. This is a very special place.”
