It is rarely possible to overnight in a home on land given to a family as a king’s grant before America was America, but you can at Dunham Farms, where Laura and Meredith Devendorf are the mother-daughter proprietors. This nine-guest-bedroom home is actually a barn! Try to figure out how because the renovation is elegant, the linens exquisite and the furnishings, antiques and reproductions fill the home with immense charm. The meals are gourmet, and attention to detail is abundant through 9,400 acres. Kayaking, even by moonlight, hiking 35 miles of trails winding through oaks, pines, wetlands and marsh banks, birding and dreamy relaxing define reason enough for a holiday. READ MORE >>

1/14/13 Sunbury Wedding from Gray Harper Event Maker
www.stylemepretty.com
Dunham Farms, located in Sunbury, Georgia, was the most beautiful venue. Set right on a marsh, with a horse, and huge live oaks everywhere. It is completely unique, private and so, so elegant. The farm has distinct locations for each part of your day, so guests were able to move from the ceremony (tucked among the live oak trees), to the cocktail hour (overlooking the marsh), to the reception (in an open field by the poolhouse). It made each piece of the day feel even more special than the last and gave guests the opportunity to see different parts of the farm. READ MORE >>

On a perfect spring weekend I hopped in the Jeep and drove about an hour there to one of southeast Georgia's most pristine and precious coastal environments. READ ARTICLE >>
